This Weekend - Pirtek Fishing Challenge

Since it’s inception, the Pirtek Fishing Challenge has raised over $600,000 for Prostate Cancer, and this weekend it’s back once again to live up to it’s title of the biggest fishing event in Australia!

Entry is now closed for this years Pirtek Fishing Challenge, and organizers say that this year will smash 2014’s records by topping 8500 anglers fishing across every corner of Australia on one day, the 22nd of March 2015.

The goal for this year is $20,000, which comes from both donations and entry fees from the expected 10,000 participants. Stacks of companies put up prizes, and just by entering you can win! That’s not the point though, the point is that you fish, and you fish, (and then fish some more) then when you catch something – all you’ve got to do is record it, release it and on the process goes. All over the country people are doing the same thing and that night, the results are tallied and winners are crowned. Do you have what it takes to beat 10,000 of your fellow anglers?

It’s all happening on the 22nd of March, and if you missed out on the entry window, get out there anyway and help out those who did enter! Or save the date for 2016, which might even top 15,000 anglers!
