NSW Maritime is reminding boaters to stay clear of the exclusion zone that will be in place for the Upper Hawkesbury Power Boat Circuit Races this weekend.

NSW Maritime Hawkesbury/ Broken Bay Regional Manager Steve Black said the exclusion zone would be in place for races to take place at Governor Phillip Park, Windsor between South Creek and the Windsor Bridge on the Hawkesbury River between 8am and 5pm on both days.

'Only vessels associated with the event will be permitted into the exclusive use areas for safety reasons,' Mr Black said.

'There will be a large number of powerboats in the water, so it is imperative that all recreational skippers keep clear of the race area,' he said.

'It is also essential that skippers keep a proper lookout, adhere to speed limits and comply with safety rules.'
