Tucked away on the Southern side of Maui, the side where only the locals go, is a spot called 'Dumps'. It's one of the best snorkelling locations on the island, except when the swell picks up, then it's surfers territory, with a solid right hander peeling down the rocks from the Ahihi-Kinau Natural Area Reserve.

While Dumps isn't strictly a 'locals only' break, if you're not a local, you better know what you're doing, especially if you decided to paddle out on your feet. But for a change, this isn't a case of surf rage against a stand up paddler, it's surf rage BY a stand up paddler!

Watch as the paddler takes off in priority well inside the surfer, who continues anyway, dropping in with no regard and proceeding to slay the wave with abandon. What he missed though (the surfer), was what happened behind him, as the stand up paddler took his revenge and hurled his paddle like a javelin. Fortunately (or not), with such a light carbon paddle, the energy on the throw was quickly dissipated and the surfer carried on as usual. He'd never know it was thrown unless he saw this video!
