Here's how to Triple your surfing time Downwind!

Kai Lenny has the answer, and it's not super human waterman genes. It's a downwinder SUP with a hydrofoil!!!
The efficiency of a hydrofoil makes riding even the smallest waves possible, with unbroken waves providing enough power to keep foil flying and that big board out of the water. Because the board is elevated, the nose is around a meter above the wave in front thus stopping that annoying tendency which causes you to fall off the back of the wave. Speaking of falling off though, the art of standing on a 1m high piece of carbon fibre at speeds of over 15 knots is prone to the occasional wipeout. Give the pro's a few months to work it out though, and we might be seeing some foils emerge at next years Doctor, or Twelve Towers downwind events.
One downside to the concept, is the greatly increased speed will mean you get to spend less time downwinding!
