RBSC - TASMANIA
With Mission number two of the incredible Red Bull Storm Chase about to take place off of the ferocious shores of Tasmania, Victor Fernandez (Fanatic / North / MFC), Marcilio Browne (Goya Windsurfing / MFC), Julien Taboulet, Thomas Traversa (Tabou / Gaastra), Dany Bruch (Starboard / Severne / AL360) and Leon Jamaer (Fanatic / Hot Sails Maui) who replaces the unfortunately injured Robby Swift (JP / NeilPryde / Mystic / Maui Ultra Fins) are all preparing to battle it out man vs. man vs. nature within the cooking seas around Marrawah in about 100 hours from now:
Tasmania is located 240 kilometres to the south of the Australian continent, separated by Bass Strait - right in the "roaring fourties" - has the highest wind statistics in Australia and also compared to the other possible destinations of the southern hemisphere.
The coast is wild, with absolutely massive wave (up to 15 m swells recorded by wave buoys) and there are plenty of spots to choose from around Marrawah for any storm force direction.
We are looking forward to see these guys rip!
