I saw this on the ABC web site:-
"Rolling Stone said of this performance:
"Prince's breathtaking guitar solo at the end of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" could be the single greatest musical moment at any Rock Hall induction ceremony in its history."
I remarkably talented Artist
This is an awful loss. I hope his vaulted unpublished works get released.
Get On The Boat by Prince is a great humanitarian song here played by Junk Big Band from Hungary.
I used to have a collection of vids of his from Youtube, then he pulled all of them. The only ones left are considered public domain, which is why you only see a limited amount of his stuff now days.
I really hope that with his passing, all those vids would show back up again, Prince wouldn't like it, but the rest of us sure would.
Giant loss!
At least he didn't rub up kids like Michael Jackson mind you I probably would leave him unsupervised with kids either
He rubbed up some beautiful women though, among them Kim Bassinger who reportedly behaved like a sex slave to him.
Just read about the inheritance battle - they're all coming out of the woodwork now there is $300mil up for grabs.
Apparently the only proven one so far is a girl who didn't even know she is technically his grand neice.
He granddad was half brother to Prince, her dad and granddad are now gone so she gets it.
1/7th share - score.
And he was critical of "chemtrails" and "NWO" and this kind of stuff is all over YouTube. He really gave the record companies the poops.
so where does his guitar go at the end of the track? While My Guitar Gently Weeps?
It was sort of his trademark statement when he finished a guitar solo - the stage hand/roadie would appear from the back of the stage catch it as it came down and quickly walk off again.
Totally unlike the bass player from Nirvana (Krist Novoselic) who ended up concussing himself during an MTV awards performance, then to top it of Kurt Cobain kicks him up the bum as he staggers of the stage.
