We are so lucky in Australia

So what is your problem? Oh I get it you got nothing else Seriously we have it so good let's step back and appreciate it.

Many people carnt afford to take a step back' the financial institutions have it that way' even starting relatively low on the ladder has pretty steep costs
Out of the 7 different countries I've lived Australia has become one of the most financially pressured'
If only people could afford the time to enjoy it

I just came to SeaBreeze to post similar, and get some feedback.

That is exactly right; everyone gets so offended these days. There is no more "turn the other cheek" or "stiff upper lip" or "being a man".

And, importantly, it is the same on BOTH sides of "politics". The mad lefties are all up in arms about every minor slight, even when said with no bad intention, and the mad rights are experiencing some sort of persecution complex, where they feel like they are all becoming enslaved. Or so it seems from the middle.

Leaving us in the middle, somewhat confused by it all.

I forget who it was that said it, but a good definition of "freedom" is something like "You are allowed to swing your arms around as much as you like. and so long as you don't hit me in the face I won't mind."

I blame The Internet. We read something, there's a 'Reply' button so it becomes "a conversation", and we feel like we need to respond. We don't.

Have you ever written a lengthy, and impassioned reply, to be interrupted by something before you post it? And then you returned a few minutes later, read it, and thought "man, who cares?", deleting it? That's a good, normal reaction.

I am on The Internet less and less and less these days, and feel a whole lot better for it.

Yep, we are here in Australia the most offended by injustice happening in the world.
Like Hong Kong and now Tibet, the dictator in Syria, expanding the Chinese sea, even Russia mining its own business. Burning Amazon forest is also offending more than our own bush fires. If we could only draw even bigger budget deficit then we could buy even more weapons, send our troops to make the whole world peaceful again.We have been spared by the Covid19 pandemic, but anyway we are first to claim compensation and investigations.

OK. I suppose kids are resourceful. Modern kids just accept living in a life-threatening sea of motor cars. But surely that affects the social vibe? I walked to school from day one, was never driven to school ever. And I can't recall any who were. We were independent coming and going to school was half the fun. Mum didn't have a car, she trammed or walked. Mid week ladies tennis. 4 ladies in our street played together at the local court. These days all those ladies have a car, one drives to the tennis complex, one drives to cross fit, one kick boxes the other drives 2 hours to go sky-diving . No wonder there's so much traffic. And they don't know each other from a bar of soap.

I just spent a few days in Sydney for work and moved around using Uber & taxis and speaking to the drivers who were all immigrants they had nothing but love for Australia and all said it was the lucky country, No complaints from them and they should be a good barometer of how good this place is.
You only have to watch TV to see cooking shows promoting conflict amongst people and crying and getting upset at the most minor thing to see we have become a bunch of limp d!cks.
