One of those is an piss take of Fashion, supposed to point out the absurdity of the industry. But ironically it has become trendy.

I'll let you guess which one.

I'm not sure I want to know what the others are

Temu takes advantage of international shipping laws, where Australia pays more for shipping, in order to subsidize China.

Complete nonsense.
The question is why your own government is against business in this country?
Why it cost me $600 container by sea from China to Brisbane and next 50km from Brissu to Gold Coast cost me $1500!?
Why in this most empty country on planet $500,000 is not enough to get some dirt to unload this container?
Because the motto here is the most expensive and extraordinary cost of doing your business is the better. The least effective your business, supply lines and distribution chain the better.
Then we have this smart ass complaining that somebody somewhere is doing something in efficient way.
And this formula of un effective work apply to almost every aspect of Australian economy.
Home builders complain and buncrupt but company building just my new home did pour two concrete slabs instead of one. ! Why ? Because in the driest country on earth they choose to make pour a concrete in 1 in 365 days in year when rain is the greatest.
So they fail half way and finish 2 month later with double thick slab.
Chinese are obviously cheaters like no others but that shouldn't make us the dumbest investors , fabricators, etc.
BTW. The most expensive by pass road to Toowooba that cost billion of dollars failed and need to be removed, redone at triple the cost now.
BTW. I have been doing business in different countries and must say that here is the most difficult and unfriendly business environment of all.

How can you say its complete nonsense? It makes sense.

You do realise that you live in a country where lots of people want a $100k income, and things cost a lot because of this. If you want to avoid this, have lots of people earn a lot less, just like in China.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but your business is buying cheap crap in China, getting it shipped here, and then reselling it for a profit. This would not work if the people here had the same income levels as the people in China.

So why are you complaining?

Housing is so expensive, due to poor government oversight, that you can understand why everyone here wants a huge income to pay for their house. Including the guys driving the trucks to deliver your container.

Oh, by the way, economies of scale is a pretty normal thing. If your container was sent individually on its own boat to Aus, then surely it would cost a lot more than $600. Unless you are getting 4000 containers shipped to the GoldCoast, I think it's pretty obvious why it costs a lot more.

Any other problems you want answered? Your builders are thick, but you know that already.

Yeah, have to laugh, he bitches and whinges about Australia and its government and people but still this is the place he has chosen to be, despite his claims of business activity in other countries and the deplorable standard of government and quality of employees here, he is still here!!!

I kinda of agree what ya saying Macro, but to be fair that is more likely to be $600 raw logistic cost for shipping, but the $1500 then includes steveadoring, customs & quarantine inspection, port taxes plus the actual truck cost from Brissy to Gold Coast.

Because a one hour tilt tray trip doesn't cost $1500. Even on the Gold Coast. Even using bikie run freight companies.

Anyways, on another topic just wondering how your solar powered deep sea submarines are coming along ?

Could it be back to Ukraine, or perhaps one of their neighbours that Putin has his eye on when he has finished with his ""special military operation""???
