I have tried it for Windwing and to my surprise it's pretty good, fast, smooth very manouravable with excellent glide. However, a lot of board speed is needed to foil.
I kite foil with the BCS 740 and it's works well and easy to use. I tried my ART 799 once but it seemed big, me 76kg.
So has anyone kite foiled the ART 699 and if so what rear wing and what experience can you share?
Seen a person only kiting the 740bsc.
One session on 699, advanced crazy short, 300p. Next day 740 was for sale!
Had a session in 15 to 20kn windwing on the 699 ART, excellent with amazing glide.
Pumps up quick to foil in 15kn plus.
Now to kite foil on it.
Wind was very light, maybe 8 to 9 kn and I was flying my 8m BRM Cloud kite on flat lake water.
As this was my first kite foil in about a year it took me a bit to get started but with a good 9kn gust I was up.
The 699 did not dissapoint, its super smooth, fast and jybing was easy. Speed wise I wasn't trying hard in the slightest but will next time so only hit 29kph.
I am looking forward to wind over 10kn to really give it a full test
I tried an ART foil for kite and couldn't really see the point - high take off and stall speed, sudden stall, and twitchy pitch. Maybe if chasing consistent riding over the 22kt speeds, ie pushing into semi race foil territory? Otherwise for freeride foiling the HPS range would do the same but with more flexibility, I would have thought?
No other issues.
