I'm not ready to downsize to a pocket board just yet, but I was reviewing some options (Axis Tray and CrazyFly Pure) beforehand.
Would a board like the CrazyFly Pure work well with an Axis foil setup?
With only one position/bolt holes to mount the foil, it seems like I would have very little room for adjustment of the base plate.
Any Axis owners here using a CrazyFly Pure board?
Thanks!
Reason for asking this is because I heard some Axis riders say they need to have the base plate further back than some other brands (Slingshot & Moses). I haven't owned anything else yet, so can't really compare.
I have wondered the same thing. I would avoid a pocket board without tracks unless it's brand matched with the foil or you can try beforehand. You might find someone on the big forum who has actually tried. Otherwise I can vouch for the tray 94, I've heavily used mine. My only complaint is that it's too nuggety and the excess width catches sometimes when you're fully keeled over in swell. However the latest v3 has slimmed it down a little (460 from 480) so it should be perfect now.
