Hi guys. what would be a good first kitefoil set up for 80kg rider, I have Axis from wing.
tried my 930 and it was like a bucking bronco.
At 59 I don't want to make it too hard to learn.
thanks in advance .
I am a bit older than you (almost 77) and have lots of Axis gear, me 74kg.
Firstly get a very light kite about 10 to 12m so you don't have to many issues trying to keep it flying.
Next get a board with good surface area but not thick, put a front foot hook on it.
For a foil, Axis BCS 810 or 740 (I use the 740 and ART 699) as very user friendly.
Add a 350P stabiliser.
Go in wind around 15kn if you can or just have a go in over 10kn just to get a feel of things but you may not foil.
Enjoy the leaning process.

Thanks for that, I have a 9m airush ultra.
thanks for the inspiration , 77! That's good going.
trying to keep foil costs down using my Axis wing foil, might have to rethink my approach .
The 930 is only going to be a bucking bronco for the first 20m when it comes up onto the foil. If you can stomp the nose down it will be very stable and easy after that.
