Only the brave survive! Get a lightning bolt in your ass and you may jump to the finish line and beat the 22 min 07 sec record with einsteins haircut! Sounds sharky...lets see what the race directors say!
Don't worry about the forecast fellas, it's only a Chinese hacker

We'll be fine
Type 1 is not good to use. If you're knocked unconscious before you get a chance to pull the inflation, you'll end up sleeping with the fishes.
Looks like it's going to be postponed going off the latest forecast - crap wind & thunder clouds
God picking 2 kites to use will be hard..... who knows what will happen.... Gusts on a 18m will be hectic, shame we have to choose by tomorrow! Guess we're all in the same boat though so choose wisely!

whatever , you just need to pack the biggest kite you have. Go hard or GTFO trev lol
I reckon they should postpone it till Sunday
I Agree.... So are you in ??
For clarity (!) the race day forecast today at 4pm Thursday is actually looking great for kite racing!
See below ...
All systems are go for a 14:30 start, Saturday 5th December.
Thanks Seabreeze and thanks BoM :-)
The Slightly later start time could make for an interesting race.............stronger wind, more swell and more weed.
Good Call Tim
A later start time would be interesting, but I thought 2:30 was the scheduled time and I have not heard otherwise? Or did I miss something?
Looking like epic conditions for Saturday and the best forecast for 3 years - put on a big smile and enjoy an epic day ...

14:30 (2:30pm) is the scheduled start time. Sailing Instructions specify (and general logistics) mean we wont start earlier, but have a window of approx. 60 to 90 minutes to start after 14:30hrs...
As an aside, 14:30 has been the start time since inception in 2010 ...
Stay tuned ....
So did the winners do a Steven Bradbury and loop their kites into the beach past all the other downed kites?
