Hi all
I just moved from Sydney to Bron Bay. Does anyone know anywhere around here that you can kite in Westerlies?
In the back of my mind there is a place... a wonderful place... known only to locals, fringed by palm trees... with glass flat water at 22 degrees all year round, and once can feast on tropical fruits falling from the surrounding trees... with a wide open grasssy launch site and a perfect aspect for westerlies.
Can someone help me find this please.
nw belongil or the pass
west the pass but it's gusty
sw we are screwed or go to ballina for gusty flat water
but often Byron will be sw and up and down the coast will be south (think it's something to do with the mountain ranges)
so we head up to Salt which as pandanas trees and soft fluffy grass just minus the fruit trees
hope this helps

yeah, what fruitloop said. the pass will be a bit gusty on a westerly, but it can still be fun.
as soon as it goes sw, you probably need to go to Balina, but it will be gusty there too.
just wait a month or so and you'll be in paradise once the northerlies come back.
