Hey all.
I have been planning a demo and intro day for the South Coast and Illawarra kiters (and future kiters!).
The day is to be held at Werri Beach, Gerringong on the 21st of Feb.

The day will be relaxed and a bit of fun; and best of all it's FREE.
This event is proudly supported by NSWKBA, who will be providing a BBQ and soft drinks to all members.

UPDATE: At this stage conditions are not looking good for Saturday. Rain, light southerly winds and a big easterly swell would not really be ideal for a beginner day! If the current forecast doesn't improve, we will post-pone and wait for a consistent NE'er. Cheers.

Yeah this weekend has turned horrible for wind! Nothing but red arrows. 
We have moved the demo day to next weekend, Saturday 28th of Feb.
Saturday is looking the goods.
The Demo Day will be at Werri Beach on Saturday from mid morning (in front of the pines).
The forecast is for sun and a steady NE, which looks like it kicks early and picks up throughout the arvo.
Looks like a fairly small swell, so easy going if you are new to kiting in waves.
The kites will be pumped, the boards layed out, the BBQ sizzling.
Come for a blast!

Massive thanks to Elliot @ Kitepower Australia, Sam the Cabrinha rep and Antoine @ NSW Kiteboarding Association for the help in putting this day on.
A really good turn-out today; at one stage I counted 20 kites up in the air on the water at once (world record)... Never needed to use more than one hand to count all the kites on, in the past!
If you used the trainer kite for the first time, no better time to consolidate that experience by calling into the shop and organising a lesson or some gear...
And thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting the demo day.
Hopefully everyone got to try all that new gear and found something you frothed on!

Super powered (but then under powered in close) for most of the time...

What a great event.Is this the new one day Mambo? Not expecting much out of a boring 'demo-day' turned out to be one of my summer highlights..Richie Rich , Surfingboye, Leo ,Elliot Drury in boots and other unknown hotshots going ballistic in the water.Even Hangglide Oz Tony turned up and some good kite chix. Always a lonely beach to kite, the vibe was fantastic.I used my own kite instead of demoing a pumped up one.Thanx surfingboye and kitepower

A surprise "kite" as well, would never have thought a Best "Cabo" would be that much fun.!!
We are blessed with an abundance of good wave kiting machines. Too bad the lack of swell and high tide killed what was around. The computer models were spot on.. 18 kts @ 5pm..!!
Gotta love being able to rock up and ask for a kite..!!!
