Just a note for people that head there to kite -
Your no longer allowed to launch/rig on the spit rigging is only on the grassy launch on the other side.
From the sounds of it there is also going to be a set kiting area from the first sand bar above the island down to the grassy rigging area, which does make for a smaller ridding area especially at low tide.
If you have any questions about it when you get there speak to the locals, if you can't find one try Stu and Namaste Beach House.
