LF is getting some real attention of late, could be because the changes they have introduced this season are turning heads and are changing peoples views of the brand. LF kites in recent years have seen some industry leading innovation that has either been copied or written off by other brands, this season they have stepped it up even further!!
The 2014 Envy is one of the all round most versatile performance driven kites on the market, it comes this year completely pulley free with a new redesigned bridle system that creates a much smoother more responsive turn, combined with direct rear kite attachment for your steering lines making this kite super stable, reactive and simple to use. The Envy supports a 3 'Synergy' strut platform with a deep Low Aspect Delta hybrid profile making this the go to kite for almost all conditions and styles. Schools love the simplistic super stable flight characteristics combined with easy relaunch and durable tough construction, while at the other end it performs at the elite level as displayed by the majority of the LF team both National and International choosing to ride the Envy. Wave riders, Freestyle and Wakestyle riders will all get benefits by riding the Envy, if you don't believe me, then I challenge you to attend one of our 'Be The Envy Tour' days and try for yourself, I will happily go away with my tail between my legs if you cannot feel it!!
In short the Envy has medium bar pressure, sits mid to forward in the wind window creating easy upwind but it is the most stable position for a kite to sit, increased canopy rigidity through the introduction of 'Synergy' Struts, leading edge is a double layer dacron making it the toughest leading edge seen, increased dacron and EVA foam over all the common wear points, glued and taped seams making it's construction something to be seen. When most other brands are removing stuff off their kite and claiming its a weight issue, when lets face it, it is a cost issue, Liquid Force represent quality over marketing!
Our next demo opportunity will be this Saturday on the Sunshine Coast, check face book for details or call Adventure Sports, Noosa on 07 5455 6677
Envy is definatley worth a demo.
The Envy Tour has been to melbourne and now onto a warmer climate but we have demo's of all the kites in stock.
Here's a little info from Gary Siskar
I tried my friends 2013 Envy 7 meter. It felt similar to my 2013 Airush Lithium. I immediately noticed the Envy's remarkable stability right from my first kite launch. There was that similar Lithium grunt to it and was a perfect match with my surfboard in gusty, yet marginal for a seven meter, conditions. It pivot turned well and I noticed only a slight delay on the turn initiation, but nothing glaring. If the 2014's are improved then all the better. In terms of overall performance, I really like it. After riding it, I put my well used 7 meter Cabrinha Vector up for sale (sold it since). The Vector is a very nice kite especially in the smaller sizes; the Envy feels more dynamic in every way, without sacrificing stability (a Vector trait).
Hey chrwar, or whoever is in the know, do you think it would be possible to put the new 2014 bridal system in the 2013 envy? Would be nice to get rid of the pulleys :D

Nope, wont work. The envy is a very different kite this year. Wing tip shape and attachment points are in different spots. We do trade ins though if your keen to ride the new envy
Well there goes that idea haha. Pretty happy with what i've got, not even a year old yet. Will hang onto them for this season.
Tried the 2014 12m envy today. 15 to about 25knots
The envy is amazing this year, jumps well with good hang time, drops off unhooked, turns faster. Its not a looping kite but from size 10 down is great in the waves.
It is a kite that does most things well including pumps up super quick. Apparently it was a bit gusty today but I didnt feel it on the 12m.
Its definitely all terrain. The envy isnt the biggest jumping compared to the nrg but easy to jump.
LF have done well this year and the Envy definitely suits what it has been designed for.
Just putting my little bit in, purchased the 8m- I'm 78kg 3 proper sessions in. (Nothing sustained over 30knots yet)
I'm hardly a seasoned pro but I landed my first handle pass on this kite so I'm pretty smitten with it.
(Boots/wakestyle 50% strapless s.b 20% and free ride with the aim of getting my loops into the mega-ish category the rest of the time)
-Above all else this kite eats up $hit varying conditions and gives you confidence to ride hard.
-It is SO forgiving to boost on, especially considering its size
-Unhooking range is huge - but I have got more slack out of the few C kites I tested
-Looping is satisfying but not the brown stains rush of a C
-Built/reinforced the strongest of any kite I have seen (it weighs more than my 11m) perfect for my high wind small kite but I see this as overkill and detrimental to performance in larger sizes.
-pump is great, bar is just a bar (I've been riding it suicide with the leash through the chicken loop which is a pain but the only way to guarantee you don't lose the loop if you fire the safety? If you don't unhook it's an ideal system.
Cheers

Hi All,
I rode the older style LF kites and loved them.
The last model I had was the Havoc which was great before I changed over the Ozone.
I am having a few issues with tendonitis atm and didn't get it as bad on the LF kites.
Can someone please advise on the bar pressure of the 2014 kites.
Can someone also advise on the max wind range of the 10.5 for a 75kg rider.
lastly is anyone demoing in QLD.
cheers
