So the claim is that their new IRS system does what "suspension did for mountain biking". I can't really find much info on exactly how their system works, all I can tell from the photos is that it's set up like a self-equalising knot on the bridle, kind of like a belay-anchor that they use as an anchor knot while rockclimbing?
Can anyone explain this new system to me?
They eliminated the pulleys but the bridle looks pretty much the same. With the little white bungy being somewhat flexible. Getting rid of the pulleys is a step forward imo.
hope they haven't made the kites any quicker. looked at a few reviews on them and it gives the impression they have made them turn quicker. from 9m and down rpm's are very fast which makes it pretty hard to do unhooked tricks where you just want the kite to sit at 45. i decided to try a chaos 9m this year mainly for that reason, although i think i prefer the rpm over the chaos i do like how much slower the chaos is, you put it at 45 and its just glued there untill you land.
Glendog haven't flown it yet as I am still injured. And my gf is only in her early unhooking stages so unable to tell what the change did to the pop and slack. She recons it feels a bit more direct than previous years but wouldn't say twitchy. The effect seems minimal. Did you fly yours on the wakestyle setting? Bar is unchanged btw.
Zarb, yes, the rather complex bridle looks very similar but pulleys are gone which is good.
And it finally has a large inflate valve but also still a deflate valve next to it. Works pretty well.

I use wakestyle if its windy enough. I found wakestyle mode needs a bit more wind
i wonder what colours I will get, not that it matters.
They are a sweet looking kite.
