My Comments:
I am just wondering if any one had the opportunity to fly the 17.5 Solo?
I flu the 15.5 and I was very happy with the flying performance of the kite and turning speed, so I would like to know if the turning speed performance of the 15.5 are replicated on the 17.5?????
Is anyone flu the 17.5 and 15.5 back to back????
Thank you guys!
Havent tried the 15 but Im super happy with the 17.5.
you can downloop from about 45^
it doesnt feel like a giant kite (once in the air)
Yes I have tried it, after being a liquid force team rider for the last three years i've tried all the liquid force kites.
The 17.5 is big and slow and you need to get back in at 13 knts otherwise you'll get blown away and you'll be way over powered unless you're a very big boy, it's more for people who are around 100kg and over. The 15.5 is a much better size kite for your average size kiter.
I've ridden the 17.5 a fair bit. Really fun kite in it's intended wind range. For my weight (82kgs) I prefer the 15.5 for unhooking. Raw power though the 17.5 is insane.
Bridle question
I use the 12m solo 2015, in the waves at 12knot wind, I really enjoy the wave possibility, the only thing is, I use to relaunch kites in minimal wind by- puling the cross single centre line(as if 5th line) to roll kite on its back and then relaunch in zero wind, works with most kites,BUT, the bridle on the 2015 solo doesn’t allow that, I wonder if its better 2016 ???
