Hey Guys I thought it worthwhile to post this clip as even though I have been on Rebels and now Neos for 9 years and watched North's bar and lines grow from the old Torro II and Rhino system to what we have today, I still learnt a few things watching this.
I think its important for us to know our bars and safety systems as they get better and better each year, I'm not just being Brand centric though, if you have other new bars coming and detailed information then please post so that we can see each bar and people can have a list of information. I think we often take these important features for granted.

Hey Dazza, I agree. Important to know these safety features, and the new bar looks ace. But if one has to show quite so much bum cheek to use it, then for the sake of others, I may need to decline getting one.
I had to watch it twice :-)
and remember which thread is the longest on both seabreeze and kiteforum?? ha!

We've noticed the 2014/2015 don't suffer from this problem as much if at all.
But my 2010-2012 bars oh boy!!! And the 2013 bar grip was a real problem.
Rub some bow wax on the depower rope ever 10 sessions or so,works a treat!!definately improves the life of it
Yep, what he said above. Haven't had to change my depower line since using wax, even on the old bars.
Good video. Failed to mention that the bar grip and depower line may only last a season though.
We are stoked to now be offering bars with durable foam and with strong depower lines.
even if your the kind of person that leaves their wedding ring on, when they kite, the foam will still hold up.

I've never really had an issue with the depower lines wearing, some guys seems to wear them quicker, but I am pedantic about washing out etc?
but last years no one seems to have had an issue with wearing in my local crew on the newer lines. I might add the wax too, even better
