I recently purchased two Nexus 4's from my good friend Darren at ASWA. I got a 11m and a 8m and a Sensor 4 Pro Bar
I was a bit concerned that Core had made the kite too surf orientated as that was there main focus for this new version. While the kites can sit deep in the window when running down wind at the kite they stay very stable and predictable. When you apply a bit of rail they come forward quickly and sit at the edge of the window and fly upwind very well.
None of the boosting ability of the kite has been compromised by the changes Core have made and even feel more floaty that the previous version
One Change Core have made that I am very happy about is the move to a single line safety system which I much prefer to there older system. There is a metal component at the Y in the front lines that does not fill me with joy but so far it has not caused me too many issues and I'm sure I will get use to it
My biggest gripe is that the Bar itself gets very dirty and stains, the white side is turning into the colour of the bottom of the estuary.
Overall the kites are exceptional fun to fly and do everything well I would describe them as the KTM 890 Adventure R of the kiting world.
Do yourself a favour get a demo on one and I'm sure you will be very impressed
Much of the same thoughts about the Core Nexus 4 given that I use the kite in many different areas. I ride waves a lot and really like the nexus 4 in the surf. I find that the 4 in the all-round setting drifts better than the 3 in wave mode. That being said I have also have a blast jumping with it landing my first double loop and progressing my loop rotations.
