I hope so. They are a brilliant designed kite. Very understated

Yes, but... They are hardly seen and not as common as other kites. But anyway, I hope they do make more impact into the market. Their R&D is spot on I think.

what are you basing that on?
or is it just a play on the company name?

it is well known over here that the religion holds its own in the waves versus neo, reo, bws, cabo, drifter etc etc, and there are always plenty around.
as per all the other brands as well, i can only see fairly minor tweaks in the religions design from year to year since around 2010. can't speak for the vision and other models. plus the RRD colour schemes are just as ugly as the north and cabrinha ones imo, and far from understated

There is more to making a lasting impact on a market than a good product......

Well you've answered your own question: "...i can only see fairly minor tweaks in the religions design from year to year".

For a kite to change slightly year to year means they've got it right from the beginning.

you missed the first part of that sentence. kite design change/innovation has been pretty boring over the past few years imo. but i am not a techy guy. geez it's windy here - i should be kiting and not posting here (damn it).

It's always funny how certain brands are big in different areas.

RRD kites are getting biger in Perth as the new gets out. The religion especially is the prefect cross on shore wave kite which is waht tha majority of Perthriders are into now.

SOS has the 2015 Religions in stock.

They have changed the bigger sizes fairly dramatically this year making the 9 and up more delta C shaped for better upwind and lightwind performance. I am loving the speed and agility of the new 9m.

As usual Roberto has worked hard to make sure they are making the most dramatically colourful kites on the water, and the details in the finish are as finely done as ever. Love them or hate them, you sure can't miss them.

I will post a full review when I have had a few more sessions on the big sizes. Its been nearly all 7m days since I got them....not really complaining though

Religons , was on them for many years from the start , probably the first real wave kite ever developed.

moved back to Qld after 30 years in the west and decided to use other brands , Reo, Bws etc , all good wave kites ,tried them all.

Going back to religions this year , with out doubt still the best wave kite out there , ll , for me anyway, im 58 been kiting for 14 years and still love it , great kites these days make it so much better in the surf to enjoy the stoke.

If you are a serious wave kite surfer and don't try these you are missing out ,

I live on the Gold coast now , i don't have any affiliation-with any kite shop or brand , have dealt with John from SOS in freo for 10 years or longer have not heard a bad thing re this shop , the support John gives and advice is rare these days.

If there is a large number of the same brand kites in the one area then 90% chance that the local shop sells them. For example at Currumbin there is a large number of BWS kites... probably because they are a fantastic kite and cause the local shop sells them... My 2010 BWS is still holding up better than ever love it, only will i upgrade to the newer model when this one bursts!

Quite a few moons ago I had a rrd type six 15m. Oh my God that thing had some power. Pig to relaunch tho.
Had a funky zip up the middle strut to change the sq metre. That idea didn't last.

It would have if the unzipping actually opened up more canopy space. It was too small of an opening which didn't really do much to adding lift. I thought it was a brilliant idea, but it needed more canopy.
