Has any body owned both and what is difference in performance? I own the Pivot and love it. I only free ride it but looking at more unhooked stuff and free style. I only ride on flat water. Would the Park be a big advantage or the Pivot is just as good?

They are very different kites. In short though for unhooked the Park will be 100% better.

How good would you say the park is for freestyle, I'm tossing up between the torch or park for my next kites.

But the Pivot is easier to jump, has more float and relaunches easier so depends on what you want.

Kemp, the Park seems more freestyle orientated each year. I seem to be getting more pop from it than some C kites. Also a good sweet spot for unhooking which I find the main issue in most bridled C kites. Not as much pop or line slack as the Torch though but thats a BIG ask.

Hi Kemp.
I have just started freestyle with the 2014 park (10m and 8m), ie ralleys , railey backrolls. I have found the kite really forgiving in learning. it generates quite a lot of pop for me, unhooks well and gives a bit of slack at the end. the kite loops really well also and its really for mucking around in 1-2m swell on a TT. you can really push bar out and forget about the kite.

i also tried a friends torch 9m. i found it had more power on the down sweep then my 10m park, turns quicker. never had a chance to try a railey or watever but can image pop would be excelent and there is heaps of slack cus its 5 line. Have another friend who is getting right into freestyle and he went from park to torch and said it was a great move.

i would say try them both out if you can, if you cant... get a torch if ur gonna go soley for freestyle.
