Hi guys, I am looking for some suggestions. I am torn on which twintip to get. Looking for something 136x41 roughly
Looking at:
Slingshot vision
Slingshot misfit
Duotone Select
Crazyfly Raptor LTD
Either the 2019 or 2020 model (more affordable)
I have been kiting for 4 years but only once or twice a week in the summer. I mostly use my surfboard and do downwinders but want a twintip for when my friends are busy for solo sessions. Struggle to get upwind sometimes, especially in light wind. Looking for a do it all board. I kite on the ocean which gets quite choppy here in Perth, WA. So something good for jumping, cruising and going upwind please :) Any suggestions on which board or any other suggestions appreciated

I have had my Shinn Monk for 6 seasons now and haven't tried anything that has prompted me to drop $1000 on any thing else. Out of the list you have I have only tried the Select, which I liked alot but not enough to get rid of my Monk. Choice of TT will only be of marked significance in marginal conditions if you get a bigger LW specific board, which you would use mostly in those conditions only. Your surfboard will cover any shortfalls in that dept. The quest for boards and kites that will supply the same experience in 15-17knts that you get in 20-22knts with your current set up will likely end up with the realization that that is unobtainable... expect and get used to having a different kind of session in marginal winds and buy equipment that will respond appropriately and juice the conditions.
Shinn Bronq.
Newer models go upwind fine, older models was way better than the new ones when stupidly powered.

Hi
We have a suggestion, the Ozone Torque V1, we have a brand new blue one and a demo (not used a lot) grey in 136x41. Really good board goes upwind easily and handles chop well.

Handles chop is common speak that doesn't mean much
Don't forget FLEX is really important- some riders want super stiff carbon others wood - fibreglass mix.
One of the reasons demo is a good idea
Shinn Monk Ghost 135x42 has been great for me around the south west in surf, chop and flat water over the past two seasons. I don't like the Sneaker SRS ratchet, mind will tighten if bumped and it's a challenge to adjust on the run, much preferred the set & forget velcro sneakers. Thinking about finding a smaller 131 board for those high wind days and will look at Shinn as first option.
All the best with your search Julskites
Without mentioning brands, my 14 year old has been riding the same 127 board for 3 years. Time for an upgrade to bigger board since he has grown over a foot and put on 20kg in that time. I did a demo on 3 different boards and the one that suited him most was the one most similar to my own board.
Key here is to demo a couple different options back to back in the same conditions before you decide to buy. If you can't demo, take a ride on a mates board.
