Does anyone have any experience with the weatherflow wind meter and android?
I'm using a galaxy 3 which is on the compatibility list, but either get no reading (0kts) or about 50kts regardless of whether the device is spinning or stationary :(
Also tried on a HTC and got same problem...
Thanks, Ive emailed them but no reply yet....
Might have to return it for refund, which is a shame cause its pretty sweet little gadget
JFYI
We have sold about 10 units. Feedback from at least 3? has been excellent.
Dont know what phones they are on though. I'll ask next time.
Grabbed one for myself for an iPhone but havent tried it yet.
Will post a review one of these days comparing side-by-side with my old ??? brand hand held. They claim they are 10% more accurate than similar priced alternatives ??
Definitely a very nifty gadget. One of the better useless toys you can own.
I'm using one on a Galaxy S3 and had some problems to start with getting it to take a reading. I even got my daughter to download the app on her iphone to make sure it wasn't the unit. From memory I had to uninstall and re-install the app a couple of times before it would work.
Seems to be reasonably accurate.

In the meantime, try uninstalling the app and download it again and re-install it. Happy to refund if you bought it from us, but so far they have all worked fine.

Thanks, Yeah I came in and swapped it for a gopro mount today. Thanks again for helping me out.
Shame we couldn't get it to work
I tried one of these on the following Android devices
Samsung Galaxy Nexus
LG Nexus 4
Asus Nexus 7
Some random Huawei cheap phone
All more or less failed, most wouldn't even get a reading.
It does however work well on my mates iPhone 4s/5 and on my iPod Touch.

Cheers for the insight. Yeah I tried reinstalling the app about 6 times, no luck... tried a few different units (2013 and 2014 batch #2 versions) on my phone instore today, and still no luck. I've read few other places online that android is very hit and miss with the compatibility. Oh well, back to the old faceometer to measure the wind ;)
