Hey Nug,

It's because it's Geoff's bday that I'm also getting out of town that weekend...
I'll be at Milang but I'm sure there'll be plenty of punters looking for some Yorkes adventure.

South Beach at Pt Hughes is awesome. It curves N round to SW, anything without east is on. Wicked part of the world.

North Beach at Wallaroo is also good but is only open for true SW to NW. N and S breezes are "safe" but off land and more gusty.

Couple of other spots around the area, but save the time and hit South Beach if it's working.

Cheers
Chappy

Hello, Yes it's me. You're all welcome for that memorable session.
I hope you're still making good use of The Well in my abscence.

Wind in Darwin is light but regular, like once or twice a week, but water is warm and i haven't seen any crocs.
wet season is pretty intense kiting up here so i'm looking forward to that. If any of you are up here soon bring your biggest kite and come and join us (bring beer of course)

As for places on Yorkes i think Chap summed it up pretty well for that immediate area. But IMO North beach wallaroo is a bit gusty in N-NW compared to moonta/pt hughes on the same day.

If it's easterly and MID to LOW TIDE (Don't bother at high tide) you could trravel across the peninsula to pt arthur for extreeeeeme x 100 flat water in any wind, although it is a muddy hole! with no facilities.
Ardrossan and port clinton are other options on that side, but probably not worth leaving adelaide for.

Theres also a cool beach just south of pt vic for W - S can't remember its name though. Google-earth-it

BUT, Never discount THE WELL.

PM me if you want more info. but i don't get on here all that regular any more.

And no i'm still not landing my jumps!!

Col.

Just remembered the beach's name if you feel like going exploring. Warrultee, not sure of spelling though.
i think the unsealed road to it is called black barts or black bob's road..... so beware of pirates AAAArrrrgh.

if you have 4wd you can drive right on down to it and pick a spot, or there's a car park.
