Hi folks,
Just reminding everyone of the SAKSA Charity Downwinder on next weekend, December 11th and the conditions are looking fantastic! It'll be a great day to meet some new crew and get a ride in!
It's a $10 donation to enter, with all proceeds going to a great cause, beyondblue. SAKSA will be putting on a BBQ and soft drinks for all entrants.
The downwinder course will be from Grange Sailing Club to the Chicken Shop. Anyone who could helps us out by doing a ferry run or two back to Grange from the Chicken Shop would be much appreciated.
Briefing kicks off at 12noon at the Grange Sailing Club.
Get along and support this awesome cause!
Cheers,
SAKSA

Hi Slammer,
Mate, from all of us here at SAKSA, our deepest condolences for your loss. Your mate, David, sounds like the kind of guy we all wish we could have around. And while he's gone, he's clearly not forgotten.
We just want to say than you so much for sharing your story and for helping us show just how important the kind of work beyondblue do, is. You're a trooper, I loved the vid and we hope you can join us down at the beach today.
We'll all be at Grabge sailing club at 12 noon for briefing and signup. Let's rally around this cause and do our bit to help someone in need. We might just save a life.
Many thanks

Hi crew!
Just want to say a massive thanks to everyone who came out to support the charity downwinder for beyondblue. At last count we raised over $300 for them with around 25 or so riders (some giving really generously) signing up. I don't actually have the figures in front of me but I can repost when I get them from Troy.
All in all it was a great day! Awesome weather, blue skies, good wind and the greatest bunch of mates going around!
Thanks again to everyone who helped (particularly Troy and Tobi for organizing) and all those who gave and rode! You're all champions!
Many thanks.
