to the maybe learner at largs today 4.30 ish mate its not a good idea to try and launch your kite even with help, where people are and then fly it with no control as you crashed it twice into the same person how about some comonsense and move a few meters downwind away from the swimers plenty of room as no one was there and practice all you need all it takes is the person to complain and then well lose this spot. i started to walk down to you to let you know about your silly decissions when you gave up and packed up i hope next time you think a bit more and hope that poor guy that got hit was okay
Good effort Shifty - shame you couldn't get to the guy and have a quick chat before he packed all his gear up and left.
Hope you did the right thing and made sure the injured party was OK?
Cheers chicken yeah tell me about it he had already left before I got close oh well I'm sure I'll see him again. Prob catch you this week if keen for a surf wind is looking sweet !
Hello, I had my second lesson with Tom at Red Baron yesterday (awesome school btw). I barely stood on the board and rode for 2 metres :P I'm loving it so far. Swallowed a lot of water yesterday but still love it :D
I'm getting my equipment this week. I want to start going to the beach for practice sessions (just trying to get on the board and ride if I'm able to). However, as I'm a rookie I wouldn't like to go by myself and do stupid things without knowing what I'm doing. Any advice? If I want to tag along with people that would accept a noobie with them, should I post a topic in this forum or is there any other place or site that I could do that? I live in glenelg north.
The Windsup School for windsurfing and kiting is heading down to west lakes beach (100 military road) with a bunch of learners on friday afternoon from 4-6.30 if you want to kite in an area with other beginners.
All a friendly crew and would be a safe place to kite as not alot of people down that way.
You can find out any updates on face book.
