I'm just a beginner and I'll be in Perth this Sunday. Will Swan River be a good spot for kiting this Sunday? Is anybody going kiting there?
As I don't know the area I'm thinking about paying for one hour lesson so i get to know the area.
Thank you
The only decent spot on the Swan for a beginner is Melville Beach, and yes there will be people kiting there. Schools also operate there.
Dude
With the greatest of respect to you, if you are a beginner kiter, this Sunday is not the day to be kiting.
Whilst Melville does get many newbies & schools the forecast for Sunday is looking like it's going to be a day for experienced kiters.
I'd strongly suggest that you take the day off but go watch the experienced kiters play @ Melville.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip to Perth.
I somehow think there will be people at Melville on Sunday. Mostly kooks on 12mtr kites..............
Should be a fun day. I'm bringing my camera
Luciano I agree with Juddy. Sunday is not the day. Sunday will be a great day to watch and learn what not to do. Even place bets on which kite will end up in the big tree first. Tuesday is a good day at Melville for a beginner.
I was going to call you a panzy Juddy, but i thought i better check the forecast first.
Just watch kiddo!
jase,do you want to come back to WA to get some real wind?we miss the loops in 30 plus knots and broken foot straps.
hahahahah....
The winds ok here, but it ain't no Perth for consistency.
I'm working up at Noosa so there are some great surf and kite spots around the place.
It's not crowed here like Pinneroo too.
Downwinders are super popular just like in WA.
