The Safety Bay Yacht Club organise the Boss of the Bay race on the 20th of Jan.
It's about 10km from Port Kennedy to the outside of the pond.
Kiters will be competing against foilers, wing foilers, windsurfers and even sailers.
Prizes to win for the winner of each categories.

Based on current forecasts we are currently 50/50 on whether this weekends Boss of the Bay event will run.
Although forecasts are only predicting a light 15 knot seabreeze our contact at BOM has suggested their models show the current trough shifting inland significantly by Saturday leading to a workable seabreeze.......
We are therefore making a final call at 12pm tomorrow based on a morning call to BOM.
Realistically to run a safe and fun event for all involved we are looking for a minimum of 18 knots consistently over the course including the launch area at Port Kennedy.

We have held this late to get the most up to date weather models via our close contacts at BOM, and to give enough notice to our competitor's travelling from as far as Shark Bay. Looking at the forecast we estimate the start not to be before 2.30pm. Race sign on will therefore open at 1pm at Long Point with compulsory briefing 1.30PM
