Hi Martin,
on Cocos, you can have days with next to no wind (check the current forecast for the next 4 days as an example) to days with 10-15 knots all the way to days with up to 25-30+ knots in the gusts. Not knowing your body weight, skill level or your board style also makes it difficult to make good recommendations. You may miss out on the lighter days (10-15 knots) not having a kite larger than 12m especially if you're a heavier twin-tip rider. Also, 8 and 9m kites are too close together, probably best to bring only one of the two and add a larger kite like a 17m.

Thanks Christian.
Yes I did notice the lull in the wind in Cocos..
Im by no means a gun kiter having only recently started but im up and mowing the lawn
I am 74 kg and mainly have core Nexus 2 kites (9m and 12m) with an 8m xr7 thrown in. Boards are switch 142 x44 and a fusion 139 x 41.5
I do have a excelent condition older religion RRD 10.5M wave kite, but its not as responsive as the newer model kites.
