Following the success of last months course racing WAKSA is once again running an afternoon of course racing at Safety Bay Yacht Club on Saturday 26th March. For all those who missed last months event the racing this will most probably be the last chance to try course racing this season. Once again Safety Bay Yacht Club will be setting the course with their safety boat on standby, use of grass set up/launch area and change rooms will also be available. For all the partners, family and friends the Yacht Club club rooms will be open throughout the day and provide a brilliant location to observe the racing. The club rooms will also be the location for the post racing BBQ and drinks, with beers at spectacularly low prices!

As always racing will be open to all WAKSA members (no racing experience required), flag starts and numbered bibs will be the order of the day. Registration will be from 12pm with the racing briefing starting from 12.30pm. First race is expected to start at 1pm with the last race at 4pm. Throughout the day the Safety Bay Yacht Club clubrooms will be open so that spectators can observe the excitement of the races from a good vantage point.

Following the completion of racing the bar will be open and the barbeque fired up, so that everyone can share the thrills, spills and anguish of the days racing as well discussing tactics.

Expressions of interest are to be sent to Simon McCowan (simon.mccowan@gmail.com) by Thursday 24 Mar so that we can estimate numbers and can keep you up to date with any weather concerns.

Where: Safety Bay Yacht Club
When: Saturday 26th March

Registration from 1200
Briefing and tutorial 1230
First Race 1300
Last Race 1600
Post Racing BBQ and Drinks 1700-1900

Expressions of interest by this Thursday 24th March

Fingers are crossed, and wind dances being made.... hopefully do not need to make any sacrifices to Hui at this stage.

Will make a call Thursday/Friday regarding wind.

Cheers

Due to the lack of forecasted wind tomorrow's course racing at SBYC has been canceled.
Apologies for the inconvenience, hopefully next time we will have wind.
