Hi everyone.
Just a reminder the demo day is this coming Saturday - the weather is looking good - 24 degrees with green arrows in the afternoon .
The event starts at 1pm so if you want to ride the bigger sizes, earlier will be better.
I'll have kite sizes from 8 thru 21m available, so should be able to cater for most conditions.
Below is a map showing where the event is held, should be plenty of carparking available, & I look forward to seeing you on the beach !
I will be setting up from 12, and event will run from 1 - 4pm. Hope you can make it !
I know you won't know but are there any other Flysurfer dealers in NSW or QLD that could also do a demo day? You seem to be the only one seriously pushing FS kites and gear in Oz. Some others couldn't be stuffed, or maybe they are held to ransom by other brands? I am in Cairns though. :(
Hi DanozDirect,
Thanks for the great feedback - I'm doing my best :)
Have you contacted Jason from Briskites or Marv from InTheLoop ? Both are QLD based and should be able to help. If you don't have any luck then PM me and we'll take it from there.
Forecast is looking perfect - should definitely be able to get the big kites out :) Sonic 18 v Speed 4 21 is a great comparison to make...
Forecast looks ok for this afternoon - BOM says "S to SE 15-20 kts". Should give everyone the opportunity to ride the larger kites earlier and finish on the Sonic 9's.....
So the Demo Kite Line up for today is as follows
Soft Kites:
Sonic 9, 11, 15, 18
Speed 4 Lotus 10,12,15,21
Unity 8m
Viron 2 6m (School / kids kite)
LEI
Boost 13m
Cronix 8m
Boards
Flydoor 5 XL (170cm)
Flysplit L (160cm)
Radical 4 (138, 128)
In some kite sizes I have more than one in each size, so plenty of kites to go around.
Thanks James, Manny and the rest.
Was fun to try out a few foil kites.
Glad that the wind came in, but was kinda hoping to fly a gigantic foil.
Massive thanks to everyone for coming down and giving the Foils a go. Huge thanks to Pete, Mani and Vaughan for helping out today. Wouldn't have happened without you.
I've put a few pictures up here : www.facebook.com/specialistkiteboarding/timeline/story?ut=43&wstart=0&wend=1446361199&hash=7954880592131594479&pagefilter=3
Both the sonic and the speed 3 were amazing to ride. If you want to ride on the river before work, the 15's would get you out there so often, without even buying a race board or hydrofoil. Those bridle lines are so thin and strong, the race guys have to be careful they don't cut seagulls clean in half.
