Speak to the Pin Puller on Seabreeze here. He's a champ of a bloke. Love a good kite and a beer!

Hi Arloj. There are a small group of kiters in the Australind area of mixed abilities that usually congregate to the RHS of the boat ramp next to the BP station in the middle of the Estuary, just look for the kites. Friendly crew. You will usually find someone about if there is wind. A couple of the guys are at Exmouth at the moment. After Gero I hope you have bought a big kite.

Hi Arloj. Welcome to Australind ! I've been here since 2013 and i've been to the patch beside the BP garage. I'm a noob (can get on the board but can't edge properly yet) and so i usually go down to the Canals near Pelican Point. There's a bit of a beach there which makes it easier for launching your kite etc. There's usually people knocking about when its windy. I usually get chatting to a few people aswell.
A more experienced kiter will be able to give you the low down regarding wind conditions. I find the wind to be quite gusty there and this makes it difficult for me to kite. That could be down to my inexperience though, so take that with a grain of salt.
(BTW: I'm thinking of heading up to Geraldton for 2 or 3 days last weekend in October. Can you recommend anywhere suitable to go for a beginner ? Or hotels close by ?)
Cheers,
John.

There's a progression white board going up down there this summer with a penalty of a carton for not trying what you said you would each seshhhhhion :-) hopfully it's a progressive year for all. I own a motor repair shop in town so can look after ure car while down south

Agreed. We have a facebook kite group in Perth and I think I might need to pinch your idea Dan.
Hope the trip back from Exmouth was uneventful.

Stayed in dongora had a few beers with Cauncy at south beach while the kids reaquainted themselves with cold ocean water. Missus is driving now before I take over on the freeway
