YEW!

What a great month! The Upwinder has already helped 68 different people, more in the last month than it had all of last season! The Upwinder has enabled 145 downwinders to be completed so far! There's also been awesome upgrades, like the trailer, the Airush demo gear (thanks Airborne) and now the Uber for extras! Learn more about all in the FIRST Upwinder newsletter, check out the website!
upwinder.weebly.com/

The Upwinder is currently limited to 11 passengers. To alleviate over-capacity issues, if the van is full by 4:20 (10 minutes before takeoff), the Upwinder will organise AND PAY FOR an UBER to transport 4 extra bodies (the gear still goes in the van).

What do you think would be the best improvement that could be made in the kiting community? Would love to get your direction, check out our survey PLEASE! See the link on the website!
Or, the Upwinder now has an email address, find it on the webpage.

Lastly, so you know, the team at WAKSA are working very hard to ensure we get to continue kiting the way we love to. They really need us kiters to respect the ocean as a playground for EVERYONE! Here's some etiquette that will keep other happy.
1 - Stay out of the beachfront at flagged areas. These areas are for swimmers ONLY!
2 - Stay out of the beachfront in front of surf clubs, this usually coincides with rule 1 and the clubs are easy to spot!
3 - Stay downwind of anyone that you can see in the water. If you spot a swimmer, paddler, surfer or anyone else using the ocean, kite on the downwind side of them so if something goes wrong, you aren't putting others at risk.

It's up to all of us to lead by example. If you spot kiters that don't know about this etiquette, make an effort to help them understand how they should change their riding style, for the betterment of all!
HAVE A GREAT SEASON

The Upwinder runs every windy weekday at 430 sharp.

Wouldn't be running on Christmas and Boxing Day holidays.

I truly hope you are making some coin with the amount of time and effort you are putting in!!
