WAKSA State Wave Titles 2014 - Brighton
The WAKSA State Wave Titles are back on and will be a Brighton Beach, South Scarborough (approvals are in – we should be able to confirm this soon). 2014 is the fifth anniversary of WAKSA State Wave Titles, so were are looking to make it bigger and better than ever!!!
The event sees more than 50 of WA's top wave riders competing in great beach breaks. To ensure the event goes ahead we have locked in a two weekend window November 8/ 9 and November 15/16. Competition runs over two days to make for more opportunity for competitors and time to get through the 40+ expected heats. Initial rounds will be held on Saturday, finals on Sunday.
Presentations will be on Sunday afternoon. The format will be four man heats double elimination draw and the event will have Open Mens, Womens, Masters, Grand Masters, Amateurs and Junior categories - something for everyone! More detail on the judging criteria for both events will be available soon.
To compete you need to be a current WAKSA member, so get your membership now if you haven't already. Spaces are limited and you must register online before the event - we won't be taking extra registrations on the beach. Keep your eye on the website/ forum for more details and registration!

Hi Waksa, is it just me or forecast doesn't look too good for Saturday/Sunday.
When will you make a call for this week-end? Let us know

as of today the forecast is just like you say, wind but no swell. So we're waiting on the long range forecast for the following weekend. If its not better we will run it Sunday, if its better we have a few options, start Sunday, and finish next weekend, or just go on standby till next weekend. WAKSA will put up a post shortly, and this will be updated Friday
