Hey guys, this is probably an old topic but is there an ocean race for kites like the windsurfers ledge to lano race?

I wouldnt want it to steal the other sports thunder and I wouldnt expect the event to be run at the same time but I could be an interesting event that could eventually stir up some interstate or international interest in kite racing

what are your thoughts...

i am not sure about wether you would get in trouble doing that . It's 18km across open water . You would need a support boat to follow you across and it can be hairy at times . Without a support boat at worst you would not want to attempt it . Or you could do it in an easterly and finish at rotto
