Can I suggest that you change the tyres - it will make a world of difference to have a rounded point of contact with the beach.

We are going to try these tires for beach use as the kite buggy guys use them a lot. We do have a set of round tires that we use but they seem to settle in the sand more and don't ride on the top well. Just trying new things for the beach.

The beach yacht is finished, just have to find the time to head for the beach. Need good tide and wind! Send pics as soon as I can.
