Yes and without knowing anything about it, the one in McNaughties boat could be acohol, kero or diesel fuelled. A model number is what is needed. If any parts are needed they are from what I see on the net, next to impossible to procure.
Another option might be to put in place a portable catalytic gas heater. These heaters were banned in Australia back in the 80's due to them having the gas bottle in the same cabinet as the heating element. They were normally a wheel mounted cabinet that you rolled from room to room as you needed it.
With a long hose to separate the bottle from the heating element these are as safe as anything you are going to have on your boat.
Yes, catalytic heaters are, compact, efficient and relatively safe. I use one in winter all the time (down here in chilly SA).
As with any combustion heater, you need to ensure a little airflow. As noted, the bottle can be located separately from the heater via a long hose, or you can plumb it to your onboard gas supply system.

So I gave them a initial clean with a mixture of plain flour salt and vinegar stirred up into a past and then paint it n with a brush and left for a few minutes. Don't ever leave it on for long if you make this mix

Your heat would have only two moving parts the air pump and the burner
If it was my heater Mc N Id buy a new Hanse number one and after a through cleaning of the heater including flushing out the fuel line either buy a Hanse off Taylors or top litch
All depending on the euro and the english pound conversion rate at the time
Other than that I could clean your old burner and see how it went

If you removed you air pump it may look like this one most of the parts in this are O rings which can be purchased locally at a bearing shop or some industrial company like blackwoods or a hydraulic shop would have then on the shelf . If you needed a hand I would be happy to refurbish it or DYI your self
