Built by Form-it Fiberglass Manufacturing at Wyong, only about six were built.
They came out of the same HMG 30'6" hull mold, one was a centre cockpit, 31', the other a stern cockpit, 32'.
Sold as 31' and 32' Top Hats, but us Top Hat owners do not accept or recognize that name.
Form-it Fiberglass Manufacturing is out of yachts and now produces those plastic portable toilets!

A previous owner described it as a HMG (he is a very experienced and knowledgeable marine pro) and had taken it down to tassie, up to the Whitsundays and Sydney harbour, Pittwater, botany bay, the boat lived in Port Hacking while under his ownership.

The underwater shots look more like a Swanson 32. The Halvorsens built hundreds of motor boats and yachts and some famous ones! They built yachts that they designed as far as I know. It's not unusual for yachts of the same era to look similar to others. I can remember when the HMG31 first came out. Halvorsens were just switching over from traditional timber to fibreglass and the HMG31 was there take on a cruising yacht. The Australian yachting magazines that test sailed it tried to sound positive but there were plenty of other boats available that offered better value! The Halvorsen 30 was designed as a half tonner.
