I have been watching her new episode every day, it's almost more interesting than the race. If I was Melbourne I would go out to cheer her on when she arrives.

Brains trust... Is there an easy way to track her progress? Other than her daily vids?

She deserves a welcoming flotilla!!

I am berthed in Queenscliff now, but by the weekend I will be at Blairgowrie. Last vid said eta MEL Sunday 29th.

Would love to meet her coming in through the PPB Heads. Any other takers??

I haven't looked, but assume she's on AIS?

Hi MuttonBird
I just took a quick peek. She's showing on the tracker as 176Nm SW of Port Philip. Currently showing as "Out of Range" on AIS.

We can't see her on Marine Traffic. The Vendee Globe website is still showing her track. Getting close now.

Yes, got her on the V/G tracker. Seems to be off Portland, so still a way to go.
Strong northerly now with westerly gales on the Otway coast by tonight.
Hope she can reserve enough fuel to manoeuvre through the Heads, jury rig would be tricky.
Slacks at the Heads around midday Sat/Sun. Should be lighter S/SW by then.
If she enters during daylight I will attempt to see her in.

Just checked her last video. Still 167 miles to go, went backwards 17 miles overnight! Pretty awful weather at the moment but it is expected to ease shortly. Pip was running a staysail but has it stowed now. Has plenty of diesel. Interestingly 167 miles out can smell Australia.

She's about 50 to 60 NM from heads currently. Not showing on ais. We are in Queenscliff..

Now showing as off Cape Patton at 23:30, 38-40 NM to heads. Fresh following wind.
She will be there by dawn and can easily go in on the slack at 06:40, or after on the 'weak' flood.
Sadly, I live up country and would have to leave now to have any hope of meeting her.

Thanks for introducing me to Pip. In her videos do you know which Sikaflex she uses on the sails with dynema?
On the Sikaflex guide it looks like 292i might be most appropriate, but her tube looks different.
