I see my romance thread is slipping further behind... in similarity to where it is slipping in real life.
Rick, Moving north to Whitecliffs tomorrow the as far out as I can get Tuesday for the jump to Burnett Heads on Wednesday.
Part of the collect yesterday, all gone by 0800 this morning!
Big Woody Island, [Great Sandy Strait] to Burnett Heads in 9 hours [was champagne sailing!] and another one to Cisco's place,
Many thanks for the evening meal C & K and for your ongoing help, even if I had to climb the gate!
Having a lazy day today so not sailing but I pulled my gopro out a couple of weeks ago and grabbed a few shots of a bloody lovely sail.
Burnett Heads [0330] to 1770 [1400].
Had a great sail, 5.5 to 6.5 knots which for a Top Hats excellent.
No wind after 1100 so had to help with the iron sail.
hey seebreezers around the sandy straits, keep an eye out for my yacht melita, atm we are anchored at double is. crossing w/bay tomorrow morning, hanging around for about 1 week. we are with 5 boats from our marina in tweed heads. waiting for 1 more stragler (still on the hard at the gold coast) we plan to regroup, then continue to great keppel via lady elliot and musgrave, herron etc. we are a party within our selves and off course more folks the the better. mark
Sounds like a great trip Mark. Get the latest info on the WB Bar from Coast Guard Tin Can Bay.
Apparently there has been a shift with the sand bar at one of the way points.

Went sailing in Pittwater with the Missus (both new to sailing). Started off with a nice breeze and only had headsail up.
Not too long before it was blowing 30+ knts. Missus said "this is scary, we're going too fast". I said "Darl we're
doing about 5MPH" I suppose it was a good job we didn't have the mainsail up too (need lazyjacks). Envy you blokes
who know how to do it all. But, we'll get there.
