While a lot of you are dreaming about heading to the Whitsundays for winter at least Donk and I are likely to have a different experience tomorrow morning.
Forecast for snow to 150 metres for Hobart in the morning so that usually means down in the far south it will be snow on the deck time.
Just depends how it settles as it is has been so wet.
Mind you bottom of the Channel is spectacular cruising as all the southern alps are covered in snow.
You all should try it sometime.

I will take your word for it Lydia. Post some photos.
It's been a bit nippy in Suva recently. The coconut oil solidified in the yacht shop this morning.
Bit gray so far today for good pics.
Cape Bruny AWS at midday was 50 knots, temp 4.5 'C with apparently temp of -9.5'C
Bit of light snow has fallen but with everything so wet it does not settle.

I was more than a bit miffed today when i had to wear gloves to work on the ocean ..
Must be part of the select group that expects the hula girls , coconut bikinis and banana daiquiris

Sailed up town in the DSS Winter Series.
Actually one of the more dangerous days sailing and that was getting to the boat.

Icy was an understatement, . I had not seen some much ice cover and the road still been open
Certainly very marginal and we had reasonable 4WD.
