I enjoyed maiden voyage, the Laura Dekker story. Just because she didn't give a crap. The best part is where she is in the doldrums for days and a storm comes in, instead of freaking out she hoists the sails and rides it out.

I was looking for a sailing movie last night and watched Maidentrip. Really enjoyed it. I googled her and saw she has been living on her yacht in NZ ever since and doing speaking appearances. Her yacht is up for sale and she and hubby are looking at buying a Tiawan Clipper.

Flash boat
couldn't find that on netflix
yes I watched maidentrip ............ interesting story . I guess that's what happens when your born on a boat and live your erly years floating around ......
still cant find any other sailing stuff on nillflix .......... really just a lot of crappy movies .....some good docos ,but a real hard search to find anything worthwhile ..........
Haven't watched it yet but Kon Tiki is on Netflix, so is Master and Commander which is worth a look.
Netflix is hopeless for late release movies, the best ones are not in English which is okay if you feel like reading. The documentaries are much better, try Happy People and Living on one dollar. The comedies are mostly crap but Jim Jefferies is an Aussie in the US giving them stick. The music documentaries are good too, Keith Richards(Under the influence) Jimmy Hendrix, Rodriguez.
The doco on the first round the world yacht race where old mate went loco on the trimaran is fascinating. Also check out SLC on YouTube. Could watch elayna doing anything - real cutie
Whats the docco on the first round the world race? I read the book and it was fascinating. I think it was called "Voyage for Madmen". Muchly recommended.
