Been riding my Gen2 with this set up..MA1475/ 795 mast/ 235 tail for about 6 sessions . I'm 90kgs and wanting to add one of the new HA front wings for prone with the Gen2.
Previously i only supfoiled with FD+ on that set up and it was great but now prone surfing with the Gen2, the MA1475 in bigger surf feels over foiled. I still like the early lift ( uses less battery juice and I'm up quickly and catching waves as a bump) but once riding it closer in when wave starts to hollow the MA1475 is a handful.
What new HA wing would be an option to give me that MA feel in take off with a more surf performance feel.? Looking at 980 or 1080.
Even better if you have the Gen2 and are on a new HA wing . All feedback welcome

I've only used the 1080 once (with FD+) in decent size waves so limited feedback but got up on foil in flatwater as easy as 1475. Was oversized for conditions but didn't have that over sensitivity to energy that larger MA's has. Could use wave to get on foil nice and early with a very smooth transition. Great glide as you would expect so easy to stay out on shoulder thru flat spots. Based on advise I got on FD group I plan to get 880.

I'm 78Kgs. Sorry didn't mean to suggest 880. I'll be getting one for bigger waves but no idea how the sizes compare other than what I've read. To be clear the 1080 will replace my 1475 for small waves and DW.
I'd almost be tempted to get the 980. Local rider here swapped out the 1080 for the 980 and although he's 84kg ish - it's for downwind paddling. It's the best compromise for turning ability, speed, stability as less wing span - but paddles up really well. I recon with a foil drive you could easily use a 980 to replace the 1475.
For example to me the 880 replaced the 1225. It's that easy to get up go and still has a much better stall speed, glide etc.
Hey piros. I'm riding the Sunova carver 5'10 x 20 x 85L so plenty of volume with little but of extra length. With the MA1475 im up easily without needing boost mode but feel over foiled in bigger waves. I was sup foiling mostly before my Gen2 arrived but now with it, I can get enough of prone foiling . Prone with the Gen2 i think this is going to be my new jam. So wanting an HA wing ( but would be great if it could work with my DW board supfoiling too if I decided to go back to the paddle At the moment my priority is Prone with the Gen2 ( I'm already looking at getting a second max battery hahaha)

Thanks Eppo..that what I thinking too . Guys I ride with all use the F One 1050..hence why I was also considering the HA1080.
