After a few years Jimmy has updated the SUP foil board the Flying Vee with a new shape the V2
This is a reflection of the current custom boards being shaped for the crew on Maui.
My old board was 6"5 x 28 for 115L
The new board puts the same volume in a much shorter board.
my V2 is 5"10 x 28 for 110L so I have dropped 7" in length resulting in much less swing weight and quicker turning.
One of Jimmy considerations with the new board is to make it as not sticky as possiable on touch downs and white water rebounds. The seaplane nose helps the board rise quickly to the surface as soon as the board starts moving forward.
It makes for a seamless transition up onto foil.
So far I am stoked being able to go 7" shorter has made the board way manoeuvrable.
also being shorter has make it easier to pump.

Could you tell me what is your height/weight and what are the dimensions/volume of your Flying V2 ??

I started Wingfoiling a few months ago and I'm looking at this Flying V2 to replace my Naish Hover Ultra Carbon 6'6 x 33' 140 liters , stay on a length of 6' minimum to 6'6 maximum, reduce the width to around 29'/30' and reduce the volume to around 130 liters ( weight +20 ) to maintain comfort despite the reduction in dimensions...

I am interested in information on the buoyancy and comfort of this board in choppy conditions and if some of you have been able to compare it to the naish hover I am listening to your review.

Thanks
I am 6"1 and 88kg The boards is as stable as my old 6"5 but is way more manoverable .
It will be a little slower to paddle on than the old board but turns way better.

ok, thanks !!!
I'm going to put this model in my Short List to replace my Naish Hover Ultra 6'6 x 33' of 140 liters, I think that if I went for this model I would take a 6'3 x 29' of 124 liters to continue my progression quietly with my 1m89 and +/- 110kg ..... Personally it's 100% Wingfoil.
