Hey all
Got in to winging a couple of years ago to fit alongside my sup for windier days.
I've been progressing well with the wing, and have stepped down board size and am on the cusp of switching to a new foil system.
My first board (Naish Hover 125l) has been lent out to a friend to start their winging journey, but I'm planning to get this back off them toward the end of the summer and play around with sup foiling on my beginner kit this autumn/winter.
I'm based in Chester so have access to the North Wales coast line, and regularly get over to the East Coast and happy to travel further.
Does anyone have any suggestions in terms of good places to start out? Usual suspects like Rhosneigr (Broadbeach) strike me as a bit too shallow to be useful with a foil.
Already signed up to a few FB groups in North Wales, but can't see any mention of sup foil at all.
hey
id check out Saltburn on East coast, really nice long board waves, can find a nice mellow spot away from the surfers. Does get busy when it's on.
It was my local spot until I moved to Edinburgh, I'm starting to try a bit of sup foil my self.
Blyth beach has a few SUP foil breaks depending on the tide, if its foible there will be someone around, always plenty of surfers too but it's a big beach and rarely crowded.
Further south, there South Gare, but that needs a big north/north east swell to get in, but the longest rides you will ever have.
To the north of Blyth, there's Cambois by the river mouth, high tide, then Cresswell, low to mid.
