Fantastic vid Tardy! Way to throw the board around! Idyllic location too! (looked pretty shallow at times.) Great music too.

What fins are you using ? I tried all sorts of fins and found the shaper S6 the best both in quad and thruster.. I actually swapped between the two as each has it's pros and cons .. I found for my flow that the quads held me in the pocket and snaps were sharper and tail loose for slides.. where as I found more drive off the bottom with thrusters in and turns were more on the rail and could draw a better longer arc specially cutting back into the white wash. Don't get fixated on one when you look at pro surfers and lots of sup vids the best guys use thrusters.

thanks slugga...I'm no pro ,but wanna be ... I use FC7 FCS FINS .and dance between 2 and 0 FCS rears ..
it really depends on the wave ..the 0's feel like i have no rear fins .I have sanded the inside edge of the no 2 rear fins
so they are neutral ,no flat side ,so they work like rear fins not fronts.
it was a tough wave to surf this day ,small and windy ,got blown off a few if i went to high to the lip .

i tried thrusters ,then quads then thrusters set up ,for months ,then realised i like it as a quad for the wave i was riding ,so stuck with it .
i haven't tried the s6 shapers .but they look like a great shape .

thrusters do come of the top better ,but enjoy the drive better, of the quads...its a style thing .

Nice vid Tardy. Been riding a quad set up lately as well - find it has the speed for minimal effort and really handles steep faces well.

Good for getting out of jail when you need to beat a section with minimal room to pump

Is it really reefy where you surf a lot then ?
TBH reefs freak me out..
Over here we've got a slab break not too far from my local break that works well, but it frightens me because all you see under you are boulders and slabs.. probably why I don't surf it much.. it's popular though with a crowded break on a forecast..

usually not this shallow ..but it was a new moon tide ,but off shore days are hard to stay away from .

it only hurts when you fall on it ,trick is to stay up .
