General question about minor deck pad repairs.
What do people do with small repairs like this (if anything ) to maintain integrity of deck pad. My old Speeed has heaps of these and I haven't bothered fixing . However my new Speeed has stated getting these .

Not much you can do with that really...

I'm sure if you asked Sunova nicely for a new panel, they'd send you one... You'd have to glue it down as they don't use stick down pads.

Yeah Hoppo no chance I would replace deck pad. Just looking to see if others use any type
of filler or glue

You need to trim your toenails Gboots??

Some contact adhesive should work okay.... make sure the pad is completely dry... little bit of adhesive on the surfaces... let it tack off and lightly compress the lifted piece of pad back down. Contact adhesive is normally pretty fleible so wont create a hard spot on the pad

If you have a bit of spare pad, it is easy to just cut out a diamond and replace it.

But I would not bother. Pad irregularities actually add grip.

The Sunova boards I have unpacked have always come with quite a bit of deck padding pieces as extra padding. I keep these and then can find a matching piece to cut out to replace a torn piece of pad on my boards. I agree contact cement is flexible and good for securing the pieces. The padding wears well but is not indestructible.

Do yourself a favor and use MS Polymer glues, it is much better than contact cement.

Humidity cured marine or auto adhesive works well costs about $20 a cartridge and fits a 9 in chalking gun. Total tools and other suppliers carry it.
