Picked up a board from Buy and Sell today and it will be interesting to see the difference between the two boards although the Hipster is for my wife but I will have to test it at some stage won't I???

Lord Bonza 9'5 x 32 140lt
Hipster Twin 9'3 x 33 153 lt

This web site drives me nuts when it inverts pictures!

One question I do have is what would be the difference if I removed the small centre fin at the back, will it be looser, too loose, no drive, etc etc???

Lose drive on a wave and not paddle as straight. Designed just like a MR Twin. So it needs the centre mini fin to perform as designed. If you have it forward in the box it'll feel looser, if you put at the back of the box, it'll give more drive/control

There you go mate, fixed it, and as Hoppo said the trailer fin is needed to give the board its drive.

Cheers.

Steve.

Two great looking boards Dave , as other have said you need the little fin in the middle
helps hold a good line on a wave ,in the old twin days we use to make and glass a little fin in after buying ,
as they had the tendency of not being able to climb the face of the wave again and sit in the bowl ,when
SImon Anderson invented the thruster it was a god sent .Some even had fin boxes where you could slide the rear fin back and forth . slide up back for bigger waves forward for loose usually you find the sweet spot and leave ,

Managed to get on the Hipster Twin today after my wife had enough of paddling around, I know people said it was made for fun and they were right. It's similar in size to my Lord Bonza so the feel was very similar but turning was a lot easier and snappier and the glide was really good getting onto the waves early just like the Lord Bonza. It does not suck onto the water as much as the concave is a lot less on the Hipster but not sure what difference that makes other than when I get out of the water and try to pick the board up. Lordy great board either way and I think I will be swapping between them both for some time.
