Only got till 27th to nominate there is a group of Cairns Crew on 12.6 & 14' SUP's giving it a crack come and join us. Winter southeasterly are warm up this way and water temp is tropical lots of other activities on in both Cairns and Port.

I'm guessing if it's run by AOCRA there's NO Prise Money if your a SUP or Prone Paddler winning twobob trophies. As your just a second class athlete, to them.
This'll get red thumbed I'm not a fan of AOCRA.
SUP races in Australia should take a page from the KOTC in WA, it's the best SUP race in Australia with good prize money, with a great after party, looking forward to December.

The Cairns SUP Crew are happy to just get an invite there are no organised events of this nature up this way and only a small handful of paddlers that have caught the Downwind bug, we paddle for the sport of SUP not the prizes or status we don't even know if we can complete this race in the time limit a big thanks to Hekili club and AOCRA.
For those that need an incentive greater than the sport I'll personally put up a Carton Beer or Cider / Bottle sprits for any out of Cairns winner that comes and tell me that they saw this offer on seabreeze.

This will be the third year with SUP's included in the race. There is no prize money at all but is a great race. As well as a great Downwind. Ben Tardrew took out the SUP section last year on a 14 footer in 3hrs 50mins. plenty of unlimiteds making the trip this year.
We will be doing downwind runs from wednesday onwards.
